there is always a plan B

what if not cracking India’s one of the toughest competitive exam “JEE” does not ends here. There is a lot more to go. Do remember that there is always a scope for endeavours to develop and improve to aspire for what you wish for. That should be the aim! Such exam requires a lot of commitments and luck. As even just brilliance cannot guarantee you to be an IITian in first shot. Many loose the edge at the late level, not due to brilliance, but, due to complications and lack of appropriate guidance.
I agree that study is a boring exercise, whole hearted dedication is not possible, but when it comes to crack a competitive exam, changes are required in a daily routine. Competition rises, and becomes tougher and more stressful for the students. One has to cope and inculcate to rise above.

Other than Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), there are many other good engineering institutes that you can go ahead for admission if you have scored decent marks in the exam, like NITs, BITS Pilani, Anna University, etc. They too provide excellent teaching environment with good job placements. But if you have planned for a second attempt, there are some quick and helpful tips I would like to recommend:
• If you have not joined any coaching institute yet, I would highly recommend in joining one. Go for a better brand because that will offer you excellent faculty (having years of experience and knowledge) to associate with, better study materials to revise, interesting worksheets and activities to and a pleasing environment to share and learn
• Follow the syllabus closely, to understand JEE Exam pattern. Fix a time-table regarding how to cover, in step-by-step method
• Identify where you went wrong or your weakness so that you can overcome them for this time. Identifying your strength is equally important because you will be able use it wholly and dedicate less effort on it. For instance, you can be strong in Mathematics, average in Physics and totally clueless in Chemistry. Through this you will create your plan to turn your weaknesses into strengths by giving more time in preparing for Chemistry and Physics as compared to Mathematics
• It is advisable to study and revise the most scoring topics first. For example in Physics, optics, thermodynamics, waves, modern physics and electromagnetism should be completed first. Then you should shift to mechanics and so on. Preparation should be such that you can aim for balanced scorecard for all the subjects
• Be regular to your coaching classes since they do not follow the regular boredom teaching process, but teaches tips and tricks to solve the questions promptly during exam
• Optimize your revision. Never aim to study all. Revise the notes written in the classrooms and go through the solutions of the problems you have solved earlier just before the exam
• Students have the habit of cramming as many new concepts as possible. At the same time, they fail to take mock tests before the actual exams. Take multiple online mock tests (at least five to six) before you appear for the final exam. You will realize that the more number of mock tests you take, the more you are able to improve your score

Hope this will suffice you in understanding the insights and take some good measures towards JEE Exam.
